VPI
Pet Insurance

Some misconceptions about Pet Insurance

Pet Insurance does not work the same as human insurance; you can see any veterinarian worldwide, no medical card or numbers or co-pay, you simply file a claim for reimbursement.

You should not wait until your pet is older. They are much like children in that they are likely to hurt themselves and get into trouble as puppies and kittens. Also as a new owner you are more likely to forget that they are there and trip over them. In addition it is best to get your pets enrolled as soon as possible so that no pre-existing conditions develop or accidents occur.

Pet Insurance is inexpensive and easy to use, costing less than a dollar a day, saving you from potentially thousands of dollars in medical bills. In addition there are multi-pet discounts; this includes exotics.

What is covered?
There are three plans offered:

The Standard Plan: covers the same medical problems and conditions related to accidental injuries, poisonings and illnesses including cancer that is covered by the VPI Superior Plan, but the reimbursement is less. The VPI Standard Plan provides coverage only up to $2,500 per accident or illness and a maximum benefit of $9,000 per policy term. There is a $50.00 deductible and the plan pays up to 90% of the Benefit Schedule.

The VPI Superior Plan: protects dogs and cats from accidental injuries, emergencies and illnesses. It also covers office visits, prescriptions, diagnostic tests, x-rays, lab fees and more.

The Vaccination & Routine Care rider: maximizes coverage with over $200 worth of important, routine benefits for only $99 per policy term year and has no deductible.
